About me
I'm kim
I’m a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in marketing and a minor in behavioral science. Go Dawgs! That’s where I met my wonderful husband Tom, a Fort Lauderdale native. After we got married, we settled in South Florida where we’ve lived ever since.
My husband owns a CPA firm. I worked in corporate America for 25 years in various roles: Account Manager, Senior Account Director, Marketing Manager, etc. I left the rat race a few years ago because I wanted to spend time with my youngest who at the time was a sophomore in high school. I started my own small marketing firm, and I have a handful of loyal clients who keep me just busy enough.
My Family
We have two children, and to save money on traveling when they were little, we would forego airfare and frequently drive to the happiest place on Earth. We are Disney Vacation Club members and huge Mickey fans.
We would also take the kids cruising fairly often. We are lucky that we live close to a few cruise ports. Our kids are six years apart and cruising offered the variety of activities to keep both happy. And the free babysitting was a bonus!
I’ve always loved travel. And I love helping friends and family with their plans. So, it was only natural for me to become a certified American Express travel agent. It’s a small side hustle I enjoy.
My Youtube Journey
That eventually led to my passion project: a YouTube channel focusing on cruising out of Florida and all things Disney World. Freshly Squeezed Travels has been such a wonderful journey so far.
Working out helps keep me out of therapy. I’m a Pure Barre fanatic. Pure Barre is a form of exercise that combines Pilates, yoga, strength training, and ballet. I’ve been doing it for four years and never get tired of it.
I also adore animals. We have two rescue dogs, Bimini and Boston, and a rescue kitty, Miss Mio Meow.
Oh, and I have a deep, never-ending love of wine.
